Celebrating LEAP Year

Join us this LEAP Year as we celebrate equal opportunity for persons with disabilities!

LEAP assists people with disabilities achieve economic self-sufficiency, live independently in their own homes, participate in community life including adaptive recreation, and find and maintain employment.

Come back and check-out the events and activites calendar below as we continue to add more opportunities to make an impact and celebrate LEAP Year!

Social dances for persons with disabilities:

You can make an impact by volunteering at one or more of our adult adaptive dances to make sure all of our attendees have a wonderful evening. To volunteer, please contact Ted Sielski, Community Education and Activities Coordinator at tsielski@leapinfo.org.

  • March: QL Spring Fling (Registration for this event is full!)
  • May: QL Prom
  • October: QL Halloween 
  • December: QL holiday  

February: Cleveland Terminal Tower will be lit in blue and green!

March: Town Hall (March 20th) in partnership with Disability Right Ohio.  Over 25 elected officials registered to attend to discuss disability employment, independent living, and community access.  

June:

  • Disability Activitism Month: Join us as we select different communities to walk through and report on issues such as, sidewalk cracks or bad curb cuts, etc.  Date and location TBD.
  • LEAP Year Breakfast June 27th on "Disability Experience in the Workplace".

July: Disability Pride Month! As a member of the Northeast Ohio Coalition of Disability Organizations, we are working on our ADA celebration event. More details to come!

September: Join us at our annual fundraiser at TopGolf on Sunday, Sept. 15th and the March for Access event on the 21st.

November: Help make access to the polls more accessible. 

Thank you for joining us this LEAP Year as we celebrate over 40 years advocating for equal opportunity for persons w/disabilities so they can live, full, independent lives in their community.
